Schrodinger’s Box is a decentralized platform that enables transparent and secure on-chain prize draws on Ethereum. We successfully launched V1 last winter and have now introduced some exciting new features in V2.
🎢Box Price Fluctuation
The most prominent feature of V2 is the fluctuating price of the Mystery Box. Unlike V1, where all boxes were sold at a fixed price, V2 introduced a price change mechanism.
In V2, the Box price is determined by:
Total prize value / Total number of boxes
As boxes are purchased and opened, the remaining box price will change accordingly.
For instance, in a prize pool with a single jackpot of $100 and 10 boxes, the initial box price will be
$100/10=$10
If a user purchased one box, and the prize did not draw, the current box price would increase to
$100/(10–1)=$11.11
We believe this new mechanism not only enhances playability but also allows users to choose their preferred box-opening methods based on their expectations and strategies.
